It’s been awhile since I added a new blog, so I thought it was about time for an update.
I’m hard at work studying with a fantastic Christian doula program! It’s called The Elite Doula and Co, and provides training for both birth and postpartum doulas, as well as filling in all of the needed gaps such as: fertility, childbirth education, bereavement, and infant feeding. I’m super excited to have more to offer my clients, and find additional ways to support women in the child-bearing years and their families. I’m nearly finished with the first half of the training, and will be doing a hands-on birth doula training in September that I’m truly excited about. Since I did my original training in 2012, it will be wonderful to refresh, renew, and learn additional ways to support birthing mothers.
This month I’m offering childbirth education classes for both Comfort Measures and a full childbirth education weekend workshop. Check out my courses page for more details.
My birth schedule for the fall is already filling up, I have one space left in September, October is totally full, and I have two spaces in November available at this time. I’m planning to begin offering postpartum doula services after the first of the year. I will offer packages and à la carte visits for mothers and families in the first weeks after birth. Stay tuned for another blog in the near future describing exactly how wonderful postpartum support can be!
